Believe that Ellen and Elmer are twins but the 1900 US Census indicates that Elmer was born in Wisconsin and Ellen born in Michigan. So, the questions are: Is the 1900 Census incorrect with the birth location of one or both siblings? What is the correct birth location? | Family: F23

Betsey took with her the younger children: Sarah J., 7; and Henry Nathaniel, 5. Remaining with Edward were: Edwin J., 16; Charles Leonard, 14; George W., 10; and Warren W., 8. Sarah and Henry remained with their mother until their marriages but of the older boys, only Chrles Leonard was still with his father five years later. Edwin was married; Warren was "working out"; and George's whereabouts we do not know.
No record of this divorce was found after checking Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, and Clinton county records. We would naturally like to understand what caused the rending of this young family and then divided sister and brothers and their descendants for several generations. (Sarah's and George's children are still undiscovered.) We had hoped, too, that the record might lead us to some of Betsey's kinfolk.

Data is: year filled, names, file record number.
Since Nathan and Eunice had 12 children together it is fair to assume that they did not divorce. However, it is curious as to why there were so many divorce fillings. | Family: F296
