Welcome to the Simmons Family History pages of the Simmons & Related Families Histories website.
My Simmons family line is traced back to the late 1700's to Rensselaer County, New York where my research has encountered a 'Brick Wall'.
Although I have encountered this Brick Wall, my research for the Simmons could take me to Palatine German ancestors or possibly to Scotland.
Finding the parents of William Simmons (b. 1796) and of his wife Betsey Ives (b. 1797) is the brick wall that I am referring to here. This website has
documented significant parts of their lives and of the lives of their 12 children.
The Simmons Family Histories pages contain the major family lines of: Simmons, Bennett, Eddy, Gibson, Griswold, Jesiek, Tanner, Young and other families.
There have been many contributors sharing their information about the Simmons Family Histories over the past six years and those contributors will be recognized on a separate page within this website.
Within this website are many Simmons Family stories and partial stories told and with your help there will be many more stories told as research uncovers the information to support those stories.
Please join me in the Simmons Family Research and the writing of the many stories that need to be documented and told by contacting me via the "Contact US" or "Suggest" links found
throughout this website.
Thank you for your interest and participation in the Simmons Family History!
