 | 1936 Golden Gloves - Grand Rapids Event program of the 1936 Golden Gloves Tournament of Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan which appears to be for Western Michigan only as there are no participants from Lansing or Detroit listed on the program. There has been a story that was told to Willard Simmons' family that he actually participated in the 1936 Golden Gloves in Grand Rapids. However, his name does not appear within this program. So the likely conclusion is that Willard attended the event but did not participate. |

 | 1860 US Census (Seth T. Robinson) This census shows Seth T or P Robinson (31, born in New York) living with his wife Augusta (18, born in Michigan) and daughter Mary (10 months, born in Michigan). Seth's occupation is stated as Indian Interpeter. Also, this census indicates that Seth has real property valued at $1,500 and personal property valued at $500. The Post Office is identified as Pentwater. |

 | 1860 US Census (Lucas Robinson) This census shows Lucas Robinson (57, born in New York) living with his wife Delilah (52, born in New York), son Allen (23, born in Michigan), son Jefferson (16, born in Michigan), son-in-law Edwin Craw (26, born in New York), daughter Eunice Craw (19, born in Michigan) and a domestic Caroline Shaw (14, born in Ohio). Lucas' occupation is stated as Farmer who has real property valued at $7,000 and personal property valued at $1,150. Occupations of Allen and Jefferson are stated as farm laborer and the occupation of Edwin Craw is stated as Millin. Edwin Craw has real property valued at $3,000. |

 | 1920 US Census (Joseph E. Beeman) This census shows Joseph E. Beeman (22, born in Michigan) living with his wife Margery (18, born in Canada) and his brother Arthor E. (43, born in Michigan). Joseph's age seems to be written as 22 years of age when he is actually 25 years of age and brother Arthur's age is actually 44 at the time of this census. Joseph's occupation is listed as a Factory Worker and Arthur's occupation is stated as Filer Factory. Also, this census indicates that Joseph owns his residence on West Main Street. |

23 Jan 2012 |
 | 1880 US Census (Elijah Eddy) This census shows Jerome W. Eddy (47, born in New York) living with his wife Mary E. (40, born in Pennsylvania), his father Elizur Eddy (87, born in New York) and niece Emma Eddy (21, born in Pennsylvania). There are two boarders residing here also, they are: William M. Jervis (40, born in Pennsylvania) working as a Farmer and George Culbertson (20, born in Pennsylvania) working as a Laborer.
Jerome's occupation is stated as Laborer. (Note: the 1850 census has Jerome aged 22 so that would mean that in 1880 Jerome should be 52 years of age not 47. I believe that I have the correct family on this census so it would appear that the enumerator is incorrect in Jerome's age for the 1880 census.)
|
|
22 Jan 2012 |
 | 1870 US Census (Elijah Eddy) This census shows Elizer Eddy (76, born in New York) living with his wife Sophia (68, born in New York). Elizer has no occupation stated in this census. There is no real property value stated and there is personal property valued at $180. |

 | 1860 US Census (Elijah Eddy) This census shows Elijus Edda (67, born in New York) living with his wife Sophia (61, born in Vermont) and a female Ellen (18, born in New York) working as a Servant but believe this to be Elijus and Sophia's daughter. Elijus' occupation is not stated. This census indicates that Elijus has $600 in real property and $150 value in personal property. There are a couple of concerns in this census, they are: 1. the enumerator apparently has misspelled the surname Edda and is most likely Eddy. 2. Sophia is stated to be 61 years of age and was born in Vermont. 3. All other data seems to match up with Elijah Eddy and wife Sophia. |

21 Jan 2012 |
